We're in search of a motivated and dependable X-Ray Tech with a minimum of a few months to a year of experience in imaging AND a solid background as a Medical Assistant. While experience is valued, we also place high importance on a positive attitude and a strong Team Player mentality.

Joining us for this 13-week assignment opens the door to a potential permanent position in a thriving Urgent Care Facility.

As an X-Ray Tech, your role involves producing clear imaging results as directed by the Medical Staff and providing Medical Assistant support to the Back/Front Office team when needed.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Reduce radiation risks by implementing patient-shielding techniques, including placing lead shields or aprons on non-photographed areas of a patient's body.
  • Actively listen to patients' concerns, recording all relevant information (e.g., medication, last menstrual period, birth control method) in our Electronic Health Records system.
  • Ensure a seamless and efficient patient flow. Reporting to the Medical Assistant Lead & Back Support Supervisor for the Suite is part of your responsibility.
  • Maintain orderly and appropriately set-up exam rooms for each patient.
  • Conduct EKGs, accu-checks, and other diagnostic procedures according to established guidelines.
  • Facilitate smooth patient discharge from back office areas and address any last-minute inquiries, making return appointments as necessary.
  • Alleviate patient stress and anxiety through clear communication.
  • Foster open communication with the Receptionist, regularly checking the status of patients waiting to be registered and relaying information to clinicians. Collaborate with the Back Support Supervisor to resolve issues when needed.
  • Collaborate with providers for walk-in patients, documenting patient chief complaints and presenting information to the provider to determine the need for immediate attention or referral.
  • Assist providers in maintaining a steady pace by keeping them informed of ready-to-see patients.
  • Prepare and set up patients for exams according to providers' expectations.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with external doctor offices and facilities.
  • Participate in daily huddles with the care team, which includes Medical Assistants, Front Support Staff members, and Clinicians. Discuss schedules and pre-visit planning to ensure individualized patient care.
  • Demonstrate commitment through consistent participation, punctuality, and preparedness. Share key information transparently with team members to facilitate work processes, problem-solving, decision-making, etc. Maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patient information and personal matters.
  • Embrace teamwork, be flexible to work at various facilities as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships within the team, exhibiting compatibility with peers.
  • Exhibit integrity and honesty in all interactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and disinfect rooms for the next patient.
  • Ensure daily log upkeep (e.g., diagnostic test machines, refrigerator, etc.).
