Entry-Level Vision System Programmer

Coilcraft is a successful, privately held company in Cary, IL with a worldwide reputation for high-quality passive electronic components. Coilcraft operates in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, computers, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Vision System Programmer to join our dynamic team. As a Vision System Programmer, you will be an integral part of our engineering department, working on exciting projects that involve the integration of Vision Systems, mechatronics, and controls engineering. This is a unique opportunity to kick-start your career and gain hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving field.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement vision-based systems for industrial applications.
  • Develop and program software to control and optimize the performance of Vision Systems.
  • Integrate Vision Systems with mechatronic and mechanical components for automation and robotics applications.
  • Troubleshoot and debug Vision System hardware and software components.
  • Test, validate, and calibrate Vision Systems to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and drive project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in computer science, mechatronics, and mechanical engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working with emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, or Java.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical ideas effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Experience with Vision Systems, robotics, or automation is a plus but not required.
