Entry Level Tax Preparer

Jackson Hewitt is hiring Entry Level Tax Preparers for the 2024 tax season to be part of our team making an impact on thousands of people navigating the challenges of filing taxes. Responsibilities:

• Complete our PAID online Jackson Hewitt Tax School course and training
• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients
• Provide expert explanation, preparation, and completion of accurate tax-related forms for clients - including multi-year, multi-state, and year-end tax forms
• Provide clients with IRS audit support, complete E-filing, obtain signatures, and e-file these forms to IRS and state agencies
• Collect and process client tax payments while ensuring timely tax return deposits
• Answer tax questions and provide future tax planning to clients
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration

Requirements:

• Successfully complete the Jackson Hewitt Tax School course
• 2+ years Customer Service experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year Tax Planning, Accounting, or Financial Planning experience a plus
• College degree in accounting or related field is a plus
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
