Accredo Packaging, Inc. manufactures and supplies sustainable high value added, flexible packaging, predominantly for the pre-packaged foods and consumer products markets in North America. We achieve state of the art, environmentally responsible, flexible packaging conversions by combining the best people in the industry with the latest available technologies. We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician, entry-level position, for our Sugar Land, Texas facility.
The Entry Level Security Specialist position is the first point of contact for all Accredo staff seeking technical assistance for technological issues related to hardware, software, network technologies, mobile devices, and applications at Accredo Packaging.
Entry Level Security Specialist Requirements:
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for any signs of suspicious activity.
- Conduct routine vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to address and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Assist in responding to security incidents, including investigating and mitigating security breaches or unauthorized access.
- Document incidents and create post-incident reports for analysis and improvement.
- Educate employees on security best practices and provide training to raise awareness about potential threats and risks.
- Contribute to the development of security policies and procedures.
- Manage user access controls and permissions to ensure that employees have the appropriate level of access based on their roles and responsibilities.
- Implement and maintain authentication mechanisms, such as multi-factor authentication.
- Work with various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption solutions.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in cybersecurity and emerging threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (such as NIST 800-171, 800-53, ISO27001).
- Participate in audits and assessments to verify compliance with security policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals, system administrators, and network engineers to integrate security measures into the overall IT infrastructure.
