Job Announcement
The Little Ferry Police Department will be holding a test on January 11, 2024 for the position of Police Officer. This test will be conducted by the New Jersey State Police Chief's Association. Applicants will be emailed a link to purchase an optional study guide upon submitting their application.
Applicants shall meet the following qualifications in order to apply: Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States; Must be at least 21 years of age; Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED); Shall possess an associate's degree or sixty college/university credits from an accredited college/university or be honorably discharged from active duty service in any branch of the U.S. Military, or completed two years in law enforcement and if hired complete 60 college credits within five years if do not have already; Ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer; Possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License; Be in good health and able to pass a medical examination that satisfies guidelines provided by the Police Training Commission; Be of sound mind and able to successfully pass psychological testing establishing fitness for duty as a Police Officer; Be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude and successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
