All's Well Healthcare Services introduces our 3-month PAID Internship Program where interns will receive hands on training for a rewarding career to work with the intellectually and developmentally disabled.

Job Description
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Intern, you will work under the supervision of DSP Employees for up to 3 months to support the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and to assist with their quality of life. This program is designed to highlight the career opportunities available to you in becoming a DSP, while providing you with the skills that you need to deliver high-quality services to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities Included but not limited to:
· Support DSP Employees with attending to the needs of each client, including assisting them with daily living activities and communicating other individual needs they may have
· Collaborate with DSP Employees in supporting the needs and goals of each client by implementing client Individual Program Plan (IPP) and/or Individual Service Plan (ISP) and encouraging them to socialize with their peers.
· Assist with tasks such as Tidying, meal preparation for clients, and special projects directed by DSP Employees
· Assist DSP Employees with maintaining calendar of appointments, facility activities, meetings with Regional Center and other agencies as applicable and patient medical appointment bookings
· Promote positive and appropriate social interactions with clients, DSP Employees, and the community.
· Implement approved emergency procedures in the event of a fire, earthquake, or other natural disasters
· Ensure facility/home rules are followed and report ANY unusual occurrence/activity to DSP Employees Immediately
· Inform DSP leaders about any broken/inoperable items and reporting any problems that could cause injuries or illness
· Report special incidents and suspected client abuse according to applicable laws and regulations to include completing Special Incident Report (SIR) forms and report to the Administrator
· Attend staff meetings and participate in required training
Pay: $16.30
Physical Requirements:
The Direct Support Professional interns will typically work in an environment with occasional work outside and in small, enclosed spaces. Frequent sitting, standing, speaking, grasping, hearing and repetitive motions. Occasional lifting of 25 lbs. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, crawling, reaching, walking, kneeling and crouching.
