BAZ Allergy, Asthma, & Sinus Center has recently merged with Allergy & ENT Associates

Our patient volume is growing and we are happy to announce more job opportunities in the billing department!

Hands on training is provided for this position.

Location: 505 N. Clovis Avenue
Fresno, CA 93727


Hours: Monday - Friday

8am - 5pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm

Position Summary

This position will offer financial advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills. They are the liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties. Their job is to handle financial obligations so that patients and physicians can focus on healthcare.


  • Manage inbound customer communications
  • Answer incoming calls and emails to address customer questions, requests, and issues.
  • Advise patient of balances
  • Ensure the information given to the patient is accurate and up to date.
  • Support CBO reps- Printing, scanning, copying and other office duties as needed
  • Process customer payments.
  • Sorting and sending mail
  • Updating and maintaining various spreadsheets
  • Negotiate and strategize patient payment arrangements
  • Obtain referrals from Primary Care Physicians
  • Review and process patient and insurance company forms
  • Attending and participating in meetings, training, and presentations.
  • Collecting estimated liabilities from patients.
  • Establishing health insurance benefits, conditions, and requirements by making phone inquiries, and by using eligibility systems and the internet.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent..
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices, and coding.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Some experience with MS Office Suites.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Outstanding people skills.
  • Able to work independently once trained
  • Bilingual Preferred but not required– English/ Spanish
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Problem Solving – Ability to identify a problem and find solutions effectively

  • Physical Demands: Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.
  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor clinic office setting with adequate ventilation;
  • Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with regular working hours; travel to clinics may be required.
