Entry Level Grow/Cultivation

Summary

As a grower you will work in a large controlled nursery environment to maintain plants throughout their growth cycle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plants as directed this includes: topping and pruning plants entering flowering area, pruning pruning and defoliating plants as they progress and visually inspecting all plants in flowering area systematically.
• Organize mother plants for clone production
• Maintain healthy mother plants by visually inspecting and topping and pruning to direct growth for cuttings.
• Maintain sufficient clones for vegetation needs
• Ensure clones remain healthy by: performing daily visual inspections, pruning yellow leaves, and culling unhealthy clones.
• Transplant tables as needed to maintain a full vegetation area.
• Topping, pruning, and defoliating plants as they progress.
• Ensure work environment remains organized and clean.
• Perform directives issued by Team Lead
• Participate in initial, refresher, and updates to processes trainings.
• Other responsibilities as required.

Skills

• Must possess 1 year of experience working in a nursery or similar field
• Must be able to to able to consistently meet established goals
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Understanding of simple and sophisticated cultivating instruments and technology
• Physical endurance and strength
• Dexterity and comprehension skills
• Excellent hand-eye contact knowledge and understanding of farming best practices
• Ability to work on-site for lengthy periods
• Mechanical aptitudes
