Role description:

As an Entry Level Geologist/Environmental Scientistat Arcadis you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to projects related to environmental site assessments, remediation, groundwater monitoring, and geological investigations with our team in Salt Lake City, UT .

This role sits within our Environmental Team, as part of the Environmental Team you’ll help render services to clients related to their obligations to maintain or improve environmental quality associated with their capital projects, ongoing operations, or legacy operations.

The Environmental Team is part of the Resilience Global Business Area. In Resilience we work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:

Field activities may include the following:

• Oversight of drilling operations (installing monitoring wells and soil or rock descriptions)
• Soil, groundwater, and air sampling in compliance with State and Federal standards
• Emergency response
• Operation and maintenance of subsurface remediation systems
• Subcontractor oversight
• Aquifer pump testing
• Underground and above ground storage tank inspection, testing, and repair/alteration oversight

Office responsibilities may include the following:

• Data management (compilation, manipulation, and evaluation of data)
• Assisting with writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
• Preparing cost estimates and proposals
• Coordinating work schedules with subcontractors
• Conducting project related research (historical data, regulations, etc.)
• Preparing periodic status/program reports
• Figure/map/boring log production

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

• BS in Geology, Environmental Science or related science discipline.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000.
