Entry level Repair Technicians will be assisting higher level Repair Technicians in the day-to-day process of repairing industrial electronics by performing duties such as unit disassembly and reassembly; component removal, testing, and replacement; cleaning, and documenting.
No prior electronics experience or knowledge is necessary. You will be trained on all the below listed skills needed to fulfill the position. We are looking for applicants who can:

Stand out candidates will be those who are driven by a solid work ethic and a desire to learn new things and excel at their work; as well as those who have a prior interest / understanding of electronics or computer hardware.
Core Skills and Duties:
The entry-level skills responsibilities of the position are:
- Soldering / Desoldering
- Part identification and replacement
- Unit cleaning
- Testing procedures
- Disassembly and reassembly of units
- Testing equipment operation
- Utilizing in-house job tracking software
- Working and communicating well with other technicians
- Paying attention to detail
- Being able to follow detailed instructions
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Advanced Skills and Duties are:
- AC/DC Electronics and troubleshooting
- Digital Electronics and troubleshooting
- Advanced testing procedures
- Advanced test equipment operation
- Specialization in a particular area of Industrial Electronics Repair
Pay and Work Structure:
Work schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri
Type: Hourly Rate
Entry level $12.00 - $20.00
Advanced level $20.00 - $22.00
Position starts at $12, but moves to $15 after probation is completed. During the first three months candidate will be in a probationary period, where they are expected to learn the entry-level skills and responsibilities required for the position and become familiar with the company’s workings, culture, and flow.
After the probationary period is completed, candidate will receive an immediate $3 pay raise to $15 and will be placed onto a Pay-For-Performance structure, which will allow for raises and cuts-in-pay according to candidate’s success level up to $20 within set position.
If candidate is performing well at their entry-level position and wishes to advance their learning and skills within the Tech 1 position, candidate may learn the advanced skills and complete a Mechanical Skills: Aptitude test. After test is passed and candidate can perform the advanced skills and responsibilities of the Tech 1 position, candidate’s salary cap is raised from $20 to $22 within set position.

After candidate has successfully completed their probationary period, and is performing well in their position, they will have the opportunity to receive additional on-the-job training and work toward becoming an Advanced Electronics Repair Technician. Subjects include AC/DC Circuits, Semiconductors, Fundamentals of Digital Logic, Electrical Networks, Electromagnetic devices, and more!
As an Electronics Repair Technician, you will support the continued success of Providence Industrial by providing reliable, quality repairs of industrial electronics for customers worldwide, as well as growing your own knowledge and skillset in the electronics field.
