Entry Level Designer - NX or CATIA
Troy, MI
Job responsibilities:
- Create designs using CATIA and/or NX to CAD standards. (self-driven online training available if only experienced in one system)
- Utilize TeamCenter to manage data
- Support Product Engineers in the design of Window Regulators, Inside and Outside Handles and other miscellaneous Door Hardware components.
- Utilize TeamCenter PLM system to manage CAD data.
- Assist in Prototype builds.
Requirements:
- 0-3 years of experience in Automotive Engineering, preferably Closures.
- Trained in either UG/NX or Catia V5 (both preferred).
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks given strong direction
- Excellent oral & written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred experience:
- Knowledge in use of Teamcenter Engineering PDM Tool.
- Knowledge of GD&T with the ability to apply to components and assemblies.
- Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials
- General knowledge of Injection Molding, Stamping and Roll Forming principles.
Education:
Associate Degree or near completion - schooling related to engineering design
