Opening with our client for a Technical Service Specialist with a focus on supporting customers with industrial paint coatings and finishes in an automotive plant.
EVENING SHIFT (MONDAY - FRIDAY, 5 PM - 1:30 AM)
In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations within the customer site pertaining to an automotive surface pretreatment line and other related business (sealers, waxes, etc.) within a paint shop including:
- providing onsite customer support from start-up until operations and duties are completed
- ensuring that the process is checked both chemically and mechanically
- suggesting corrective actions and communicating recommendations to paint operators
- drafting detailed service reports related to chemical processes
- building relationships with plant contacts in order to help identify potential needs of the plant for future opportunities
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Degree in chemistry or related field a plus
- Prior experience in automotive refinishing or paint shop a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Solid customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to gain understanding of new chemical processes
