We are currently seeking an Activities Coordinator to oversee our activities and events calendar. In this role, you will assist in the organizing and hosting of on-site activities, seeking to build a sense of community while enriching the lives of our guests. These activities may include crafts, game nights, trivia, karaoke, pool games, etc. You must have a flexible schedule around the holidays, as seasonal entertainment can significantly uplift the spirits of our guests. Applicants should have some experience in hosting/emceeing, as well as an energetic, positive attitude.
Policies and Procedures
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
- Follow company and department policies and procedures.
- Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Recreation Communication and Coordination
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities and areas by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude while hosting events.
- Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities, activities, lessons, and equipment.
Physical Tasks
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 40 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Be able to assist (when needed) to set up / breakdown live musicians and DJ equipment.
Recreation Facilities Safety
- Maintain safety & security of children participating in recreational activities by following company policy and procedure for working with children (e.g., use of waiver forms).
- Maintain constant surveillance of all activity in the recreational facility and act immediately to secure safety of guests in the event of an emergency.
- Identify situations where guest is not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED
- Related Work Experience: 1 year
- Must be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
