The dynamic City of Orlando department operates five distinct venues including KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field, Mennello Museum of American Art and Harry P. Leu Gardens. Between hosting high-profile sporting events like Wrestlemania, NFL Pro Bowl and NBA All-Star Weekend to big-name concerts and music festivals like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Harry Styles, Beyoncé and EDC Orlando to family shows, art exhibitions and countless other diverse offerings, our venues cater to residents and tourists alike year-round while enhancing the quality of life throughout our community.
Nature of Work:
Performs semi-skilled manual work involving event preparation, change-over, and general maintenance of KIA Center. Performs tasks requiring knowledge of the regulations/specifications of the various sports, and involves the use of independent judgment and initiative, above-average physical effort, operation of power tools and equipment, and the ability to work without constant supervision once tasks are learned. Performs other duties as assigned. Duties may include lead worker responsibilities. Work is performed under moderate supervision of a Crew Leader or Supervisor, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to sports regulations and/or specifications.
Work Schedule: Hours vary, although weekend, evening, and holiday hours are often required based on event schedules.
Minimum Requirements
Entertainment FacilityWorker I
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. One (1) year Arena, Stadium or Convention Center experience with ice maintenance required; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
Entertainment FacilityWorker II
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Two (2) Arena, Stadium or Convention Center experience with Ice maintenance and Zamboni Operator required, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. A valid Florida Driver's License is required.

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;

  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
