Role: Enterprise/Network Architect
Location: Fort Bragg, NC
Duration: Long term Contract/ Full time permanent
Job Description:
Develops system concepts and works on the capabilities phases of the systems development life cycle; translates technology, business requirements, and environmental conditions into system and network designs and processes. Develops and maintains business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs; develops information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures. Ensures that the stakeholder requirements necessary to support the organization's mission and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems supporting those missions and business processes.
Must have familiarity with large environments including the following technologies:
Cisco Family of Equipment
Leaf / Spine Architecture
Hybrid Cloud
SD-WAN
Network Monitoring
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the engineering of all layers of the network to include security, network, and applications requirements.
Manages the engineering of all network solutions and services - to include WAN, LAN, wireless, VPN, mobile, network application infrastructure, voice and collaboration, hybrid cloud connect, and service desk.
Ensures the network and network services are engineered in accordance with defined performance metrics.
Collaborates with operations to coordinate complex network changes and upgrades for EOL and EOS components.
Performs capacity planning.
Develops, plans, and manages the bill of materials and associated budgets.
Prepares materials and oral presentations for customers and management.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with vendors in the support of their products.
Ensures there is an adhered to approach for employee training to achieve required certifications and personnel career goals.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years of relevant and progressive experience in developing network architectures.

This position requires specialized knowledge and skills in the architectures, technologies, tools, and techniques as illustrated by an in-depth understanding of the underlying hardware and software architectures, the ability to independently and quickly recognize, diagnose and resolve complex problems, and ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies.
Education
A four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education or experience in network architectures, systems analysis, and management of information technology may be substituted.
