See Yourself as an Enterprise Risk Manager

The Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM) Manager is responsible for (1) managing key aspects of the ERM program and the preparation of ERM regulatory filings and corporate insurance renewals, (2) contributing to the design and execution of various Enterprise Compliance processes and taking responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of specific compliance-related processes, as well as (3) participating in and creating materials (e.g., reports, presentations, meeting minutes) for the ERM team’s governance meetings (e.g., ERM Council, Enterprise Compliance Oversight Council, Model Governance Subcommittee). This role will coordinate with internal subject matter experts to gather information, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and communicate in a timely and professional manner, among other tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ERM Program

  • Manage various ERM processes, including the coordination and tracking of ERM Risk Assessment program requirements/deliverables, the monitoring of Key Risk Indicator (KRI) metrics and escalation of out of parameter KRIs, and the identification, reporting, and assessment of emerging risks, plus contribute to the review and analysis of the results of the ERM risk assessments and the identification of risk mitigation responses to emerging risks.

  • Assist in coordinating, reviewing, and publishing annual regulatory filings.

  • Support the Corporate Insurance program through the preparation of insurance renewals and applications.

Enterprise Compliance

  • Provide input into the build-out of the Enterprise Compliance program, such as the development and implementation of monitoring and testing procedures and the creation of key metrics for internal reporting.

  • Support policy governance, issues management and risk assessment processes, including assisting in maintaining the policy repository, monitoring remediation plans for open compliance issues and contributing to the review and analysis of the results of the compliance risk assessment and related documentation.

Other Duties

  • Assist in preparation for various governance meetings (e.g., ERM, Enterprise Compliance, Model Governance, etc.), including scheduling meetings, creating materials, and taking minutes.

  • Assist with Records Management, Counterparty Risk Management, and Model Risk Governance, as needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience: 4 or more years of prior work related experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Four to six years prior work experience

  • Experience in Insurance, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Records Management, and/or Counterparty Risk Management preferred

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively follow up on open items

  • Critical and innovative thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree (no specific major required)

Preferred Years of Prior Work-Related Experience: Four+ years of prior work experience

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet deadlines

  • Ability to handle changing work environments, priorities, and situations effectively.

  • Comfort working in a matrix organization; ability to keep a matrix team informed of workload capacity
