Form of work The individual should have proven extensive knowledge and success with ERM concepts, developing and performing Enterprise Risk assessments, and recommending solutions to improve services in the Federal service sector. Duties include perform assessment of top risks and mitigation activities, development of ERM tools such as key risk indicators, support risk monitoring processes, and the integration of performance/ERM activities.
Experience/Skills:
Key areas of experience include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Identification and analysis of top risks, evaluation of risk mitigation tactics, development of KRI, approaches for integrating strategy, risk, and performance management activities, and optimizing existing processes.
- Evaluation effectiveness of existing risk mitigation tactic.
- Presenting Enterprise Risk information to diverse audiences in a clear, concise way.
- Assisting risk owners with ERM assessments.
- Supporting the identification, assessment, and monitoring of top risks, including evaluation of qualitative risk areas such as strategic risks and organizational culture.
- Supporting the development of process guidance documentation (i.e., standard operating procedures), ongoing automation efforts, and other process improvements within agency.
- Supporting Risk Management Council (RMC) sessions.
- Supporting ERM working groups and benchmarking events.
Experience/Skills:
Key areas of experience include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- At least 6+ years of Experience
- Must have Public Trust Clearance
- Experience in assessing strategic, operational risk and compliance risks.
- Experience in process mapping, identifying risks and associated internal controls.
- Experience in facilitating groups and executive risk owners to assess and present their top risks.
- Must be able to layout and tracking of the results of risk assessments.
- Experience writing guidance documentation, reports, meeting notes.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Risk taxonomy, scoring, key risk and performance indicators, and other areas of ERM.
- Knowledge and proficiency in using focus groups or other qualitative methods of interpreting the data.
- Knowledge of process improvement methods.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
