Your Job

As an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Administrator specializing in Snowflake, you will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing systems of Enterprise Data Platform. You will work closely with data engineers, dataarchitects, BI Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability, performance, and reliability.

Our Team

KBX is looking for an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Administrator to join our team! The role will be part of the Data and Analytics team responsible for building, supporting and enhancing our Enterprise Data Platform. We are seeking an individual that possesses strong collaboration and communication skills, and a deep understanding of data management and processing.

What You Will Do

  • Snowflake Administration:Manage and maintain Snowflake (all environments) data warehouses, databases, and schemas, including provisioning, scaling, and optimizing for performance.
  • Data Security:Implement and enforce data security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Identifying, reporting, and managing database security issues, audit trails etc.
  • Performance Tuning:Monitor and tune Snowflake workloads to ensure optimal query performance and resource utilization. Monitoring usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc.
  • Monitoring and Alerts:Set up monitoring systems and alerts to proactively identify and address performance issues or anomalies.
  • Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve Data Platform-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Other relevant tasks include backup and recovery, data object role management, data integration, documentation and capacity planning.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Professional experience as a Database Administrator or Snowflake Administrator.
  • Professional Experience in cloud-based data warehousing concept architecture like Snowflake, AWS, etc
  • Experience in SQL and database query optimization.
  • Professional experience with data security and compliance practices.
  • Experience in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience communicating with cross functional stakeholders and collaborating with data teams.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Snowflake certification is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization solutions, such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with API (REST, GRPC) and streaming data capabilities (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, etc.)
