Form of workWe are looking for a per diem Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our group who will focus on providing high quality patient care direct to residents of long-term-care facilities at their bedside throughout Chico. All applicants must enjoy working with geriatric patients as you will be traveling to various skilled nursing homes throughout Chico (only one skilled nursing facility a day) to provide exceptional medical care to those patients not able to visit the doctor's office. This position offers extremely high scheduling flexibility and is a perfect position for someone who enjoys working independently. The group manages all non-medical related responsibilities so we make it as easy for providers as possible and allow for providers to focus on care.
The ideal candidate is:
- Adept at working with seniors
- Looking for a challenging, diverse and rewarding position
- Someone with excellent communication: verbal /written skills.
- Someone with strong charting skills on an IPad.
Responsibilities:Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

All candidates must have:Reliable transportation and proof of car insurance as applicants will be traveling to various nursing homes throughout Northern California to provide exceptional medical care to those patients not able to visit the doctor’s office Driving is required as this is a mobile practice
