Position Summary: This position acts as the primary contact for all students in recruiting, admission,
enrollment and
advising activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interacting with potential
students and their families to promote and increase enrollment by attending a variety of
recruiting events; providing campus tours to students and groups; assisting students with
admission, enrollment, and advising.
Essential Job Functions: • Provide high quality customer services to students, parents and others through
information, admissions, enrollment, and advising processes
- Organize and give campus tours with potential students and groups
- Council and advise students to determine appropriate courses based on their

- Work with faculty, learning resources, other student services staff, and academic
- Work with other colleges to keep transferability information current and accurate
- Keep accurate records on advising activities with students
- Assist with assessment, graduation checks, career placement activities, and job
- Attend local and regional career fairs/meetings/seminars, CPC conferences, high
- Promote and represent College at public relations events, promotional opportunities,
- Train and assist student recruiters in process of advising students and families
procedures
- Coordinate and conduct recruitment process for students including call-backs,
processes
- Coordinate and facilitate open house and other recruitment events
- Develop and utilize a variety of methods of student recruitment and social marketing
networking
- Assist with campus promotional events - car shows, enrollment days, new student
- Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies including local workforce
and others
- Create and deliver verbal, visual, electronic recruiting presentations - to various
- Develop advanced knowledge of all aspects of college systems including admissions,
- Work closely with Concurrent Enrollment Specialist to develop and maintain strong
interested in technical education careers
- Be an active member of KACRAO and other applicable professional groups for
- Attend professional development events to gain necessary information for position
- Attend meetings, serve on committees, and work closely with faculty, administration
- Support the vision, mission, and policies of Salina Area Technical College
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements: • Occasional physical exertion to manually lift, carry, push, pull or move objects or
materials less than 50 pounds
- Generally, involves 60% sitting, 20% walking and 20% standing, however some days
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Requires acute hearing and speaking skills
- Requires fine dexterity to type, enter data and provide written communications
- Use of standard office equipment including computers and general office equipment
- Work is performed in a busy and noisy environment
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing
- Requires traveling to various sites
- May require evening and weekend work
Exemption Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Classification: Professional/Technical – Full-time
Schedule: Typically, 7:30 – 4:30 M-F, occasional evenings and weekends
Pay Rate: $21-28, dependent on qualifications
