Job description

The Enrollment Center Receptionist greets all visitors in-person at the Enrollment Center desk, answers basic questions, and enters students into queuing system to be seen by the appropriate member of the Student Affairs team. This position also assists with administrative functions for the general operations of the office.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide general information about admissions, registration, financial aid, orientation, assessment, and business support
  • Assist with campus visits for prospective students or community partners. This could include assisting with various aspects of planning, coordinating, or executing the visits themselves.
  • Help with appointment management and booking for various student services offices.
  • Assist with special projects, data entry, student outreach campaigns, and clerical assistance for the various departments in Student Affairs.
  • Greet visitors and students, clarify, and answer general questions, and/or enter student into queuing system to be seen by a staff member.
  • Direct guests to appropriate personnel and/or department.
  • Function effectively in a team environment.
  • Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.
Supervision Received: Assistant Director of the Enrollment Center
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to operate copier and other office related equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to provide Tier 1 level student support through use of various software applications (queuing, student, financial).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Pleasant disposition, good attitude, and ability to get along with others.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate evidence of ability to successfully work in a team environment.
