Discovery Ranch, a leading residential treatment center for boys ages 13-18, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team. At Discovery Ranch, we combine traditional and experiential therapies to create a clinically sophisticated and relationship-based environment for our students. As an English Teacher, Secondary, you will play a vital role in helping our students heal mentally, physically, and emotionally, while also providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed academically.

• Deliver high-quality English education to students in grades 7-12
• Create engaging and inspiring lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students and align with state standards

• Collaborate with the clinical team to integrate therapeutic principles into lessons and provide support to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Secondary Education
• Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level
• Strong knowledge of English language, literature, and grammar
• Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks
• Ability to create engaging and customized lesson plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of therapeutic principles and experience working in a residential treatment center (preferred)
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals
• Flexibility, patience, and adaptability in working with diverse student populations
• Passion for helping students heal and succeed academically
