QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree, Masters Preferred
- MA DESE License Preferred

JOB GOAL: Responsible for the instruction of English in a High School setting with grades 8 through 12.
PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct students in English in a High School setting.
- Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.
- Create positive educational climate for students.
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
- Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.
- Maintain electronic grade books.
- Utilize various curriculum resources.
- Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom and implement Tier 1 interventions.
