- Lesson plan and deliver engaging instruction using school approved curriculum aligned with Arizona State Standards
- Create lessons and activities that involve engagement strategies with experiential, inductive and hands-on learning
- Create an environment with a high level of mutual respect and manage daily classroom operations utilizing effective practices
- Proctor and track assessments as identified in school assessment calendar
- Communicate with families regarding student academic, behavioral, social and emotional progress
- Conduct Parent/Teacher Conferences as identified by school calendar
- Enter and maintain accurate attendance records in student management system
- Enter and maintain accurate assignments and grades records in student management system
- Provide supervision during transition times and recess as indicated by school schedule
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school and state
- Single subject teaching credential, certification or endorsement if teaching a specialized subject
- Relevant teaching experience
- Knowledge of relevant technology
- IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
