Position Overview
Position Summary:
The College of Liberal Arts and sciences is seeking qualified candidates to teach as a full-time faculty Instructor of English. Salary based on degree and experience, paid on a credit hour basis. This is a residential position. Campus presence is required.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • 4/4 teaching load with assignments in freshman composition
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • An M.A. with at least 18 hours in English is required. An M.A. in English is preferred. Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background in and experience in teaching composition.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

  • Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Paid Time Off Medical leave is accrued at a rate of 12 working days per year up to a maximum of 130 working days.
Employee Educational Assistance Plan Eastern New Mexico University offers a tuition waiver for regular employees and retirees. This program waives the tuition for one course (up to four credit hours) per semester.
