About the job
The Engineering Team Manager has the overall responsibility of the Engineering Department. This position reports to the Engineering & Technical Office Manager and is accountable to lead the department through specification review, product estimating, product design, calculations, drawings, and design standards.

• Oversee both standard order processes and complex order processes regarding scheduling, lead time, and assigning of workload.
• Train/coach team of engineers and ensure that competence levels are maintained and developed.
• Overall responsibility and sign-off of product design and calculations.
• Review and approve all shop production packages for standards, quality, and correctness.
• Maintain and drive Engineering Standards within the team providing consistent designs.
• Provide design input when necessary to resolve customer requests and/or Production issues.
• Monitor performance of the group regarding lead times and quality of work.
• Implement and/or recommend improvement activities for the Engineering team.
• Interact with Project Managers, customers, sales group, quality, and production teams.
• Conducts daily team status board meetings to ensure employee management communications and continuous improvements.
• Support local management team, to include HR and EHS, as needed to support business initiatives.
• Use Workday to support performance goals and employee development and related initiatives.

What you know:
Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical Engineering or related Heat Exchange experience.

• Experience in design of Heat Exchangers.
• Experience with 3D modeling software, to include Solid Works and/or Inventor.
• Experience with ASME and other pressure vessel codes. ASME section 8 preferred.
• Working Knowledge of pressure vessel calculations.
• ERP/MRP experience preferred.
• Experience with MS Office Suite, proficient with Excel tools utilizing tables and graphs.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $110,000 - $120,000 base + bonus.
