Summary

As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices.
Ability to multitasks to support R&D Engineers with Silicon and Pre-Silicon (FPGA and Emulation) platform labs. Assignment involve assembly, fixing failures, perform connectivity tests per specification, and database data entry.
Responsibilities also include racking pneumatic thermal systems, re-imaging OSes, network configuration, configure PDUs, and neatly dress cables harness. Light soldering skill to support rework on thru-hole and SMT. Knowledge of passive components, sizes, and values. Familiar with Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer setup and other metrology tools. Excellent organizing skills and ability to communicate accurately and concisely to team members. Need to be mechanically inclines, attention to details and follow instructions from project lead.
Key Qualifications
Knowledge Operating Systems (Mac, Win, and Linux), PCs and Peripherals.
Knowledge of Lab Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, LA, Metrology equipment.
Knowledge of Soldering and Reworking boards Components.
Must be Hands-On with all Lab related tasks, proficiency with test measurement, analyze and communicate with team members.
Ability to work independently, under high pressure in a multifaceted environment with concurrent projects.
Self-motivated, problem-solver alone or with team member group tasks.
Description
- Hands-on building & handling systems validation build per instructions.
- Perform sanity tests, maintain Firmware/SW update and procedures.
- Setup test equipment for data capturing & assist Engineers onsite.
- Analyze test result, working with Vendor to resolve issues repair & replace units
- Documentation and update procedures throughout products cycle.
- Rework, touch-up, and solder passive components.
- Assist on-site, walk-in testing and solving from lab team and engineers.
- Provide methods and actions to remedy efficiency and streamline processes.
- Help remote users swapping boards, SOCs and adjust thermal stations.
- Read/Understand schematic to assist ECOs changes.
- Open door and escort vendor, facilities for maintenance.
- Swiftly monitor and address issues incoming from email, slack and SMS.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
