Job Description Summary

The Documentation Engineer will be responsible for working with process engineers to create and maintain process documentation. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, work holding and gaging.
  • Develop and maintain the standard for process documentation.
  • Participate in LEAN initiatives and engage Kaizen process improvements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycles.
  • Design necessary tooling & fixtures for manufacturing and process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization and work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to meet customer milestones and complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.)

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong computer aided design software experience ( Siemens NX preferred )
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications; GD&T experience
  • Strong mechanical design ability
  • Prior manufacturing process improvement accomplishments
  • Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or equivalent quality manufacturing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed ​
