Responsibilities
General
- Provides plant Engineering Change coordination
- Supports Business Plan Deployment / Scorecard achievement
- Processing of deviations to specs
- Analysis of specification related issues
- Internal Controls compliance for their functions
- Follow all plant safety rules
Job Specific
- Utilizes Engineering systems for Engineering Change inquiry information
- Works reports designated for Engineering changes and breakpoints
- Coordinates the implementation of Engineering Changes
- Creates and distributes notification sheets
- Communicates with supplier on change status
- Maintains Engineering Work Order log for each model year
- Manages system activity for old/new part changes
- Verifies Production Trial Run (PTR) status for all changes
- Develops plant break points using the following criteria:
- Supplier input
- Plant reference
- Engineering direction
- Marketing request
- Finalizes breakpoints
- Receives Temporary Work Orders (TWO) from engineering and checks to make sure it has proper signatures before implementing
- Interacts with Engineering Change committee to communicate effective date changes and release new Engineering Change report
- Attends Plan for Ever Part (PFEP) meetings
- Participates in Engineering conference calls
- Responsible for writing local specs for plant
- Maintains ISO standards
- Implements, monitors and maintains Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) elements
- Makes disposition of interim obsolete material
- Coordinates the disposal/return of replaced parts

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interface with internal and external customers and demonstrate a customer-oriented approach; ability to represent the best of the Corvette brand at all times

- Analytical ability to solve complex problems
Education and Training
- Bachelor degree required
Additional Description
The role will include relocation benefit for candidate that lives 50 or more miles from location. This role is categorized as onsite.
