The Role
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures for mechanical and electrical systems aboard nuclear powered Aircraft Carriers. The candidate will use their engineering knowledge and experience to acquire and evaluate shipboard test data that will assure ship systems performance meets all technical and contractual requirements. This involves interacting and collaborating with a variety of internal and external customers to execute an integrated test plan that prioritizes safety and quality, but also accounts for schedule and cost. This position is a good opportunity for a candidate interested in hands-on engineering experience with shipboard systems.
Must Have
An ABET Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience;
Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience;
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have
- Assist in engineering evaluations and troubleshoot a variety of electrical and mechanical components
- Experience in operating of major equipment in a shipboard environment and testing
- Capacity to evaluate problems relative to impact on the overall plan/schedule and formulate mitigating action plans
- Have an understanding of the importance of safety, cost, schedule, and quality with respect to the company's product
