Position Summary

Perform complex system verification, and customer support of Samsung and Partner IP Multimedia System (IMS) and Mission Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT) Equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

Perform complex system verification, and customer support of Samsung and Partner IP Multimedia System (IMS) and Mission Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT) Equipment. Perform feature validation, interoperability testing, field evaluation to get product acceptance from customer. Perform system level feature integration and test. Develop and perform test plans as well as troubleshoot and analyze problems in customer's lab and production systems. Manage and enhance automation tools, and customer lab support. Aid in product and feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and SW releases. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to project plan. Work with team members to prepare test plans/cases and execute to validate IMS/MCPTT functionality. Interface proactively with Product/Technology Engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Educate our customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Ensures that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.

Skills and Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related field or foreign equivalent and 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related. In lieu of a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, Employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related field or foreign equivalent and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related. Applicants must have 2 years of experience (5 years of experience in possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree) in the following: (1) working in a Linux environment, including command-line; (2) virtualization technologies, including virtual machines and containers and cloud-native concepts; (3) networking concepts including TCP/IP, sockets, IPv4/6, routing and interface snooping; (4) software engineering concepts including message queues, multi-threading, algorithms, interfaces, inter-process communication, security, and relational databases; (5) using command-line tools and scripting tools shell and Python; (6) compute resource aspects: CPU, memory and disk and assessing the performance of each aspect; (7) DevOps concepts and CI/CD; (8) Mobile Network LTE EPC elements including MME, SGW/PGW, HSS, PCRF, and OFCS; and (9) IMS/MCPTT network elements, including I/P/S-CSCF and IMS Call Flow Diagnostics. 10-20% domestic travel required.
