Job description

This is a 12-month limited term position which may be extended to 24 months and/or become permanent. Multiple positions may become available.
Under the administrative direction of the Assistant Executive Officer (AEO), the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) has full management responsibility of the following units and the SSM I's that manage them: Enforcement Unit and Probation Monitoring Unit.

Working Conditions
The incumbent is a Work Week Group E employee and is expected to work an average of 40 hours per week each year and may be required to work specified hours based on the business needs of the office. The incumbent works an average of 40 hours per week in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. The use of a personal computer, telephone, copier and fax machine is essential to the duties of this position. The position requires bending and stooping to retrieve files, sitting and standing consistent with office work, and occasional light lifting of no more than 25 lbs. Incumbent is expected to travel when necessary which may require driving a vehicle.

Special Requirements Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)(Fingerprinting)
Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.
Conflict of Interest (COI)
This position is subject to Title 16, Section 3830 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Consumer Affairs' Conflict of Interest Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming the position, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving the position I have read and understand the duties listed above and can perform these duties with or without reasonable accommodation. The incumbent must demonstrate success and experience in supervision of others, make independent decisions, and provide oversight to insure the effective management of Board programs. The incumbent must have consistent and reliable attendance, represent the Board in a professional manner, and must have the ability to interpret data and solve administrative problems. Minimal travel, using various methods of transportation, with an occasional overnight stay is also required for attending Board and/or committee meetings.
