Energy Delivery Driver

Frontier Cooperative is seeking a responsible Class A or B driver to join our Energy Division team.  This position will primarily deliver Propane or Fuel in a safe, economical, & efficient manner to customers within a designated territory.  The position requires a Class B Commercial License with Tanker & Hazmat Endorsements (Frontier will assist the right candidate with obtaining the necessary licensing & credentials, if needed).  

Frontier Cooperative’s Energy Division Drivers are highly skilled, expertly-trained drivers responsible for delivering Bulk Fuels, DEF, Propane &/or Refined Fuels to our customers & other Frontier locations within our trade territories. Additionally, this position may assist with various new residential & commercial construction Tank Setups & Installations, perform Leak Checks, replace Regulators, & assist with other duties as needed.  This is a LOCAL, HOME DAILY position that enables our drivers to be home with their families every night, opportunities for flexible scheduling & additional overtime hours. 

Energy or Agriculture industry experience is not necessary for this position.  This fantastic opportunity offers industry-specific training & certification, career advancement & leadership opportunities.  For this position, Frontier is seeking a dedicated, safety-minded driver that appreciates attention to detail, takes pride in his/her work, is mechanically inclined, & has solid customer service experience & skills.  

FC Drivers are responsible for performing daily truck maintenance, verifying all safety & emergency supplies are available on the truck while maintaining cleanliness both inside & outside of truck at all times.  All FC Drivers are expected to complete & submit all necessary paperwork & receipts daily, including DVIR’s & other necessary logs.  Drivers are also required to follow all State, Local, DOT, OSHA, & FMCSA Regulations & Rules.

Qualifications & Requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:   

• Class A or Class B CDL license, with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements. (If you lack a commercial license & hazmat endorsement, Frontier Cooperative will assist the right applicant with obtaining these credentials, & allow sufficient time after hire to secure them).
• Driver must feel comfortable working around propane & refined fuels, & have a general mechanical understanding of the equipment.
• This position requires you to lift 50 pounds regularly-occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.  This position also involves driving, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, carrying, lifting, walking, jogging, & side-to-side & back-and-forth movements frequently.   Additionally, this position requires a driver to be exposed to Nebraska’s inclement & unpredictable weather. In this position, the driver works in both indoor and outdoor climates.
• The ability to communicate & respond in English to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community while consistently demonstrating positive, team-oriented behavior is necessary to succeed in this position.  The ability to read, write, and interpret conversations, work orders, & training materials in English is also necessary to succeed in this position. 
• Ability to maintain a positive, friendly working relationship with coworkers, producers, vendors, & customers. Successful employees are trustworthy, dependable, & exhibit exceptional customer service skills.

• During peak seasons, Frontier Cooperative operates under the "all hands on deck" philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, drivers will have opportunities to assist other departments as needed to assure our customers receive the best customer service at all times.  Additionally, having the ability to work additional hours during peak season, is preferred. 
• Scheduling flexibility is available & includes an occasional 'on-call' weekend rotation.  
• The domicile location of this driving position is determined on the candidate selected. We have over 60 locations across Central and Southeast Nebraska & our goal is to allow our trucks to domicile or park as close to the driver’s residence as possible.
• Farming, Agriculture, Refined Fuels or Energy background or knowledge is preferred, but not required.
