Position Overview:
The QCI will support ICAST's current efforts to provide its multifamily (MF) customers with solutions for achieving energy savings through the installation of high efficiency HVAC, hot-water, lighting, and building shell measures. The QCI's key responsibilities are to perform Quality Control Inspections in the field and to assist ICAST's Technical Services team as needed with energy audits.
Requirements
Must Have Qualifications:
  • BPI QCI Certification
  • 3 Years' experience in Energy Auditing and Inspections
  • 2 Years' experience performing QCI for Weatherization Assistant Program Projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BPI MF Auditor or Analyst Certification
  • Microsoft Suite proficient, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Firm understanding of HVAC systems in buildings, especially multifamily.
  • Understanding of Healthy Homes assessments
  • Strong skills in communication, documentation, and attention to detail
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

Location: Nashville, TN
Reports to: Director of Technical Services
Skill Level: Intermediate
Areas of Expertise: Energy Auditing, QCI, Consulting, WAP
Compensation: $65,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct building Energy Audits in the field (as and when required).
  • Perform QA/QC Inspections for ICAST Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy projects in TN.
  • Advise Construction staff on building inspection requirements.
  • Work with equipment vendors and installers to assure that their solutions meet the needs of the customer and the incentive program.
  • As requested by management, assist in assessing the energy performance of buildings to determine cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades, especially HVAC systems.
