The Executive Office of Health and Human Services(EOHHS) is the largest secretariat in state government and is comprised of 11 agencies and the MassHealth program. Our efforts are focused on the health, resilience, and independence of the one in four residents of the Commonwealth we serve. Our public health programs touch every community in the Commonwealth.  The Executive Office of Health and Human Services directly touch the lives of slightly more than 1 in 4 residents in the Commonwealth - some of our most vulnerable children, youth, adults, and elders. HHS provides access to medical and behavioral health care, substance misuse treatment, long term services and support, and nutritional and financial benefits to those with low incomes. We connect elders and individuals with disabilities with employment opportunities, housing, and supportive services. We support individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, blind, deaf or hard of hearing.

 

EOHHS is seeking to hire an Endpoint Engineer Supervisor who will be responsible for day-to-day Microsoft Intune Admin Center operations.  This position is highly integrated with the Active Directory and Imaging teams. The Endpoint Engineer Supervisor will provide technical support and expertise for desktop environment as it relates to management of the devices with Intune. The technical solutions managed and provided to manage EOHHS workstations will enhance the computing experience and security of the Secretariat's end users.

 

The primary work location for this role will be at 100 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts, and the work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. This position will be expected to follow a hybrid work model that combines in-office workdays and work from home days, as needed, and may be expected to perform after-hours support as authorized and required. Schedules are subject to change based on the operational needs of the business.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Implementation of EOHHS IT enterprise configurations and deployments for workstations and mobile devices according to EOTSS (Executive Office of Technology Services and Security) and EOHHS standards, policies, and procedure to insure a consistent environment.
  • Develop Intune/Autopilot deployment profiles that are used to configure the Autopilot for all EOHHS agencies to include, but not limited to, user devices, KIOSK, mobile devices and shared devices.  
  • Responsible for architecture, design, implementation, and configuration of Intune Compliance policies for all EOHHS Agencies protecting organizational data by requiring users and devices to meet specific requirements.
  • Assist the EOHHS Active Directory (AD) team to develop Microsoft Group Policies Object (GPO) that apply standards/configurations to AD computer and user objects. 
  • Develop MS Endpoint Configuration Polices that mirror and enhance the domain GPOs for all EOHHS agency Intune devices.
  • Act as the liaison between EOHHS and EOTSS Platform Engineering Team for coordination of Microsoft Endpoint Management devices via Microsoft Intune.
  • Assist with the management of Windows OS deployments, application packaging & distribution on an enterprise scale.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise applications and information teams to document, test, and publish requested applications following a department approval procedure for the purpose of documenting, supporting, and enhancing requested technology.
  • Create PowerShell scripts for automation to include domain user and computer objects, Intune, Azure AD and MS Graph to include, but not limited to, scripts to be used with Intune Script, Proactive Remediation and SCCM.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the MS Endpoint structure by auditing and reporting issues through proper channels, having a familiarity with Disk Encryption, Firewall, Account Protection, Device Compliance.
  • Familiarity with Deployment of Applications - Company Portal, Software Center, Win32 Apps and Microsoft Store for Business Apps
  • Responsible for the proper development and delegation of permissions and roles within the MS Endpoint infrastructure.
  • Keep current on new developments in the Intune environment and conduct research and development of new technologies.
  • Provide 3rd level assistance to IT Field Operations ITSMs, EOHSS IT Security, and Help Desk teams when requested.
  • Assist in the Enrollment of new devices - Deployment Profiles, Hashing, and Tagging
  • Create, Execute and Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Enterprise Services
  • Communicate and/or escalate any operational issues or disruptions within a timely manner to minimize user impact and ensure continuity of services to the network environment.
  • Perform SSTA approvals.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional IT work environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with the following skill sets (unless specified otherwise):
    • Endpoint Management, SCCM, or other push technologies or methodologies (minimum of 2 years)
    • Microsoft Active Directory / Azure AD
    • Scripting:  PowerShell, VB Scripts and Batch Files
    • Desktop management and operations support
    • Microsoft Endpoint (minimum of 2 years) and Microsoft Group Policies
    • Server management and operations support
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Local and Wide Area Networks (physical and logical).
  • Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of computer hardware, servers, workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Ability to understand the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines governing all EOHHS activities.
  • Knowledge and experience with basic security measures and requirements.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Active Directory and its critical components including but not limited to Group Policy Management, DNS and domain namespace, users and computers, domains, and DHCP.
  • Ability to automate by scripting, issue remediation, operating system deployments and application installs.
  • Experience supporting MS Office Suite and SQL database.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong customer service background and experience and skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing a complex, multi-site environment.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
