ENDOSCOPY ASSISTANT

Endoscopy Assistant

Description:

• The Endoscopy Assistant performs all duties promptly and in a competent manner according to the facilities policies and procedures.
• Identifies patients with two patient identifiers.
• Walks patients from waiting room to pre-operative area.
• Instructs patients on appropriate donning of patient gown.
• Covers patients with warm blankets, connects patients to cardiac monitor and obtains vital signs.
• Reports any abnormal values to nurse.
• Brings patients’ family members to bedside.
• Provides patients with drinks post-operatively
• Takes patient to their cars in wheel chairs.
• Cleans and makes up stretchers.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements/Education:

• High school diploma or GED required
