Job description

Gillette Children's is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Gillette Children's is a multidisciplinary specialty hospital that focuses on children with complex neurological, orthopedic, and/or rehabilitation needs. This is mostly an outpatient practice with some inpatient consults. We focus on the evaluation and management of infants, children, and adolescents that have a variety of hormonal disorders, with a focus on providing endocrinology support to neurologically complex children that are seen by our colleagues at Gillette. Our practice has a special interest in bone health as we are the only multidisciplinary osteogenesis imperfecta clinic in the region. Endocrinology also plays an important role in the neuromuscular coordinated clinic.
Limited inpatient and ER consults. Low call volume that is shared among the providers, with much support from the inpatient providers.
Practice Details:

  • Provide outpatient care for our consultative patients and understand the growth and hormonal needs of children who have disabilities and complex conditions
  • Collaborate with providers in a variety of specialties to provide comprehensive care which includes world recognized specialists in nutrition and feeding and radiology and imaging.
  • Provide care through the Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Neuromuscular clinics
  • FTE: 0.8 FTE
  • Call is shared 50/50, low volume, primarily phone call only
  • Provide consultation at Gillette Children's Hospital
  • Flexible career path with opportunities for clinical research through Gillette and collaboration with local academic institutions if desired.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship training program
  • BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA
  • Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
  • Have interest in caring for patients with endocrinology needs, bone specifically, and have interest in caring for children and young adults with disabilities and medical complexity
