Position Overview

We are seeking a Encryptions Specialist who will be responsible for developing and implementing encryption algorithms as well as performing cryptanalysis to break or exploit cryptographic systems. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement encryption algorithms to secure communication channels used in offensive operations.
  • Perform cryptanalysis to break or exploit cryptographic systems used by adversaries, enabling access to sensitive information.
  • Ensure that all data transmitted during cyber operations is protected through robust encryption standards.
  • Design and establish secure communication protocols that prevent detection and interception by adversaries.
  • Implement data protection measures that comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of information.
  • Develop and manage systems that encrypt sensitive data at rest, in transit, and during processing.
  • Create custom tools and scripts to automate encryption tasks and enhance the security of operational processes.
  • Maintain and update cryptographic tools and libraries to adapt to new security challenges and technological advances.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments of encryption algorithms and systems to identify potential weaknesses that could be exploited.
  • Recommend improvements and patches to enhance security and prevent future breaches.
  • Work closely with software developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity teams to integrate encryption solutions into broader security strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on cryptographic best practices, standards, and regulatory compliance to team members and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong focus on cryptography.
  • Extensive experience in implementing and managing encryption systems and conducting cryptanalysis.
  • Hands-on experience with cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and security systems.
  • Profound knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms, hashing algorithms, and cryptographic protocols.
  • Skilled in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others commonly used in cryptographic application development.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate the security of encryption methods and foresee potential vulnerabilities.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for explaining complex cryptographic concepts and security measures to non-specialists and collaborating effectively across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees or specialized training in cryptography or cybersecurity.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Encryption Specialist (EC-Council CE).
