As an Emulation Testbed Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to building critical systems that perform reliably and safely. We’re looking for an engineer who can use their skills to develop advanced communications systems for the US military.
At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform the Army. Our team upgrades, tests and configures our clients' networks to ensure our warfighters have the best equipment to get the job done. That’s why we need you, an emulation engineer, with a solid background in LAN/WAN networks and VMWare to help us design and develop our warfighter's communication systems.

You Have:
- Experience with system integration and upgrades, testing and configuration of network components on the Emulation Test Bed such as traffic stimulation, TGEN, and Linux Red Hat administration and scripting
- Experience with implementing test-scenario development, network traffic stimulation with TGEN, system configurations, test-run execution and monitoring, network-data capture, data storage, and post-test database generation
- Experience with LAN/WAN networks and virtualization technologies, including their installation, configuration, and operation, switched LAN and access lists, IP RIP, route redistribution, RIP, route summarization, OSPF, VLANs, Ethernet, and VMWare ESX
- Knowledge of networking technologies, such as Routing, Switching, Vlans, STP, OSPF protocols, and Firewalls
- Ability to analyze the network data collected from the test run to produce data products
- Ability to develop performance metrics such as throughput, latency, and packet completion rate
- Ability to produce network topology graphs and correlate its impact on network connectivity during the test run
- Ability to identify anomalous network behavior and provide explanations or directions on how to resolve the issue
- Secret clearance
- HS Diploma or GED

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
