EMT/EMS Dispatch
Location: Nutley, NJ
Salary: $20+/hr
Schedule: 40 hours/flexible schedule
This Nutley, NJ Ambulance service is looking for compassionate, energetic, and motivated Dispatchers to join their team! We work with a range of healthcare facilities, other EMS agencies, and municipalities to provide professional, reliable, and safe patient care and medical transportation. Dispatch Essential Requirements:
- Valid EMT Certification.
- Valid MAVO Certification.
- Valid CPR card.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Able to lift weights of up to 125 pounds.
- Experience as a dispatcher in EMS, preferably.
Dispatch Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the work and activities of EMTs for an 8 to 10-hour shift.
- Receives, prioritizes, and dispatches calls in the Computer Aided Dispatch System.
- Gathers patient demographic and billing information.
- Maintains a courteous, helpful, and professional attitude when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, etc.
- Responds to a large call volume.
