Emt- Career Pathway Program

Are you interested in an EMT career? We are hosting our next EMT Career Pathway Program in the Spring of 2024.
The Deaconess EMT Career Pathway Program offers you the best of both worlds: a full-time job at Deaconess AND training for a career as an emergency medical technician in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.

• Classes begin May 13, 2024, at our Deaconess Kentucky EMS base in Henderson, Kentucky. You can work full time at Deaconess while training for an exciting career as an EMT.
• EMT training takes just 12 weeks.
• Get paid to attend class three days per week
• Work the remainder of authorized hours in an entry level position within Deaconess Health system
• Deaconess pays for NREMT exam and the reciprocity process at the end of each class session.
• Work commitment of three years after successful course completion
• Interested in advancing to be a paramedic? Other financial assistance is offered for paramedic courses.

We will prepare you to be a well-rounded EMT provider. Our program is designed to specifically expand your clinical knowledge, communication skills, and critical thinking to best serve your community. In general, to be eligible for enrollment into an EMT course you do not need to have previous medical experience
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Deaconess EMS is a 24/7 operation. It requires day and night shift crews.
