The EMS / SCADA Operations Support Engineer will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain.
Responsibilities:- Support customer EMS modeling and applications in their eTerra SCADA / EMS system
- Perform Network Modeling for internal Transmission areas
- Perform SCADA cleanup tasks such as removal of ADMS points from transmission database
- Perform modeling and display building tasks for Transmission Energy Management Systems (TMS) using FG Display builder and eterrasource 3.2 modeling tool
- SCADA point to point validation and rectification
- SCADA update requests (add/delete/update breakers, reclosers, transmission lines, etc.)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Capable of performing modeling and display building tasks for TMS
- Experience and skilled within the GE eterra/Habitat and database modeling environment
- Experience and skilled with GE FG Display Builder and GE e-terraSource
- Experience and skills in GE Advanced applications (RTNET, STNET, etc.) – nice to have
- Computer/programming/scripting familiarity – nice to have
- Basic electrical system knowledge (EE – nice to have)
- Power Systems Engineering a plus, but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Remote for this project, but could be up to 25% travel within North America for other projects.
