SUMMARY
The EMS Skills Trainer directs and evaluates all aspects of skills training instruction for EMT/Paramedic programs within the Grady EMS Academy. This position ensures that the department's mission, core values, and clinical standards of care are maintained through the education provided to students. The EMS Skills Trainer will coordinate with the Program Director for skills check off information and ensures timely and appropriate delivery of scheduled training. This position assesses student practical skills, providing positive and timely feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS

PRN staff are requiredto work a minimum of three (12 hour) shifts per schedule, yet hours are basedon the needs of the unit(s) and are not guaranteed. (Length of shifts may vary)PRN staff may sign up in advance based on the needs of their home unit or otherunits within the department and may also be called when needs arise. PRN staffmust be flexible with regard to floating to other areas within the departmentas needed. They are considered the first to float in order to assure safestaffing requirements across the nursing units.
Weekend Requirements: One (1) weekend shift per 4- weekschedule. (Friday 7pm - Monday 7am)
Holiday Requirements: Must work two (2) holidays per year: Onemajor (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's) and one minor (Memorial Day, July4th, Labor Day or Martin Luther King Day).

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED required
- Two (2) years of related experience required
- Must hold current Georgia EMT-I or A-EMT license and be in good standing with the State Office.
- Paramedic or RN a plus.
- Georgia Level II or III Instructor preferred.
- Maintains familiarity with and support all accreditation standards.
- Must have a valid GA Driver's license with an acceptable MVR.
