Connect-Abilities is seeking an Employment Services Manager/Employment Specialist to implement services in Jackson, Decatur, and Bartholomew counties. This position will develop and carry a caseload, assist with hiring new staff members for the region, and provide training and oversight to the region. $22+ per hour.
*You must have direct experience in the field of Employment Services for individuals with disabilities through Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
We provide significant administrative support to our ESs and work as a team. We have a lucrative bonus program and quarterly profit sharing that represents another 25% of your annual salary. We advocate for our participants and staff members.
This is a very challenging, but rewarding position. We have at least three "customers", and you must be able to wear many hats. You will help people with disabilities find and maintain employment, build relationships with local employers in your community, and build relationships with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and offices.
Connect-Abilities mission is to provide the highest quality of Employment Services to people with disabilities, community employers, our funders, and other community stakeholders. We do this through hiring and retaining high quality employees.
Engages Vocational Rehabilitation participants and establishes trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community job settings with other workers who do not necessarily have disabilities.
Conducts Discovery activities, such as informational interviews, job shadows, and work experience, to determine consumer interests, strengths, and vocational goal. Conducts job development and job search activities. Provides on-site job supports as needed.
Provides documentation for all activities daily. Timekeeping daily and documentation daily is required.
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to undergraduate degree in mental health, social services, or business. Experience providing Employment Services highly preferred. Must have valid driver's license, reliable vehicle to transport clients, and car insurance.
Lucrative bonus plan for benchmarks, including successful closures, and 70% of new VR bonuses, quarterly profit sharing, business mileage reimbursement, $30/mo cell phone reimbursement, $180/mo employer paid QSEHRA plan (healthcare reimbursement through marketplace/full-time status only), 401(k) with 100% match on first 3% of salary and 50% match on 2% of salary after one year for all employees. We are in the process of establishing group life insurance for full-time employees and will provide a $40 per month benefit allowance until this is in place.
Background check required, as well as pre-employment and possible random drug screens.
Full time status is 32 hours per week. We believe in work/life balance. This position may require nights and weekends depending on the needs of our clients.
