Goddard Law is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Paralegal to join our team. We are eagerly seeking candidates that have Labor & Employment Law experience, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, excellent organization skills, and are willing to take ownership of their job.
Job Responsibilities:
- Client intake.
- Manage the collection, review, and analysis of evidence/client documents.
- Draft, review and finalize various legal documents [Summons, Complaints, Motions, Notices of Appearance, Stipulations, etc.].
- Maintain attorneys' calendar with dates of importance.
- Maintain and update client files.
- Frequent client communication and update.
- State and Federal Court filings, including submission of electronic filings.
- Draft discovery demands and responses.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
Qualifications:
- MUST have 3-5 years of Labor & Employment Law experience.
- Knowledge of Outlook and Clio Manage and Clio Grow [Knowledge of Clio is preferred, but not required].
- Knowledge of Disco [Knowledge of Disco is preferred, but not required].
- Knowledge of Kenect [Knowledge of Kenect is preferred, but not required].
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and ability to effectively communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to review and organize various documents.
- Team player.
- Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
