JEVS is seeking a Master's level professional to join our CareerLink team at Suburban Station. In this role, you will be responsible for providing vocational and transferable skills assessments, career counseling, group learning experiences, and referrals to partner agencies to assist members with their efforts to obtain employment.

This role, located in our headquarters office in Suburban Station office is on-site. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer appropriate skills assessment tools to identify an individual’s preparedness for employment.

  • Identify customer’s potential barriers to employment and facilitate referrals to supportive partners or community agencies if deemed necessary.

  • Complete an interpretation of assessment outcomes, employment history and psychosocial information to determine customer need for skill development.

  • Guide the employment search process relative to customer needs.

  • Create career plans that include career targets and supports to achieve goals.

  • Develop, adapt, and conduct career workshops and professional networking groups.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in counseling or a related field with emphasis on assessment and career guidance.

  • 3 years of experience working with adults in transition, career uncertainty or barriers to employment.

  • Experience addressing the “signs and symptoms” of behavioral health issues, such as: anger management, depression, homelessness, alcohol & drug abuse, etc. as they relate to employment.

The base pay for this position is $51,500. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
