SUMMARY
The Employee Housing Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of Tamarack Employee Housing properties and tenant satisfaction. Their duties include all aspects of Employee Housing, including arrivals, departures, facilities, and development projects. Work closely with Human Resources, department directors, Maintenance, Security and Grounds department to maximize occupancy and ensure safety of all residents. Employee housing entails housing for single employees, families, and international employees. Housing units are both on and off Tamarack Resort property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with Housekeeping, Janitorial & Maintenance to ensure all facilities are cleaned as needed.
  • Forecast occupancy on a seasonal basis for all housing locations including dormitories and condos.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and database of units.
  • Manage Employee Housing budget and capital budget for projects and upgrades.
  • Stay current on local housing opportunities and concerns in order to provide recommendations for department operations, capital projects, and expansions.
  • Supervise the cleanliness and move-in ready status for all Employee Housing units.
  • Oversee check-in/out, the orientation of new employees to housing facilities, room assignments, room transfers, signage, maintenance inspections, room inspections, move-out inspections, resident needs, costs for units.
  • Communicate any housing conduct issues with the appropriate manager and HR Director.
  • Follow through with corrective action(s) for residents, including evictions as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of furniture and supplies in Employee Housing.
  • Update furniture as needed and appropriate.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Coordinate payroll deductions for rent, deposits, and fees with Accounting Department.
  • Communicate housing availability with hiring managers on a regular basis.
  • Report and follow-up on major and minor maintenance or repair issues.
  • Communicate with Security to provide and receive pertinent information.
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration with the Human Resources department to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Basic housing repairs.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; related experience and/or training in property management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of property management duties and responsibilities; practical knowledge and understanding of fair housing and tenant-landlord laws.
Prior work experience with a ski resort, seasonal business and/or the hospitality industry is highly preferred. Must be familiar with recruiting and onboarding.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires possession of valid Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort insurance carrier. Must have own reliable mode of transportation.
