Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Employee Health Registered Nurse for our hospital to ensure that we deliver exceptional care to our patients. • As a member of our team, you will act as a liaison between employees, the workers compensation carrier, and the employee's supervisor.
• You will display your strong and accurate clinical judgment and expert-nursing skills while following company polices including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
• In collaboration with your healthcare team, you will assess, treat, and provides appropriate follow-up to employees with injuries, illnesses and/or exposures- both work related and non-work related.
• You will complete health assessments on new employees.
• As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will educate and perform drug testing to employees as required.
• In order to provide employees the resources to perform their job, you will educate and perform respirator fit testing to employees who require it per their job assignment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia OR Registered Nurse with "multi-state privilege" granted to them by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia is required. 
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program is required. 
  
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing/BSN is preferred
• 4 years of hospital experience is preferred.
• 2 years of Employee Health experience or occupational health experience is preferred.
