The Boeing Company is looking for a talented Employee Development Specialist to join our Global Design and Development organization in Everett, WA. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Senior or Lead Specialists.

This position is ideal for someone excited by the world of learning outcomes for business professionals, including curriculum development, instructional systems methodology and technologies, and learning experience design. In this role you will be a key player in shaping and influencing all learning solution design across the Boeing enterprise. This position is mostly virtual with occasional onsite presence at Puget Sound and other locations when required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, maintain, and/or recommend learning solutions tied into various aspects of the business (including but not limited to business units, corporate functions, leadership development, and/or enterprise learning requirements)

  • Design, develop and deploy various learning experiences in multiple formats (including but not limited to web-based training, instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, video training, Degreed pathway development, performance support, micro-learning, etc)

  • Manage, balance, prioritize and execute on various complex learning experience initiatives and projects

  • Influence, engage, collaborate and communicate with high level stakeholders and global colleagues in verbal, written and visual formats

  • Coach and mentor Learning Experience Designers, Instructional Systems Designers and Course Developers

  • Leverage Microsoft productivity software to manage learning experience project or initiative (including but not limited to enablement resources, including how-to guides, templates, samples and guidelines)

  • Participate and engage others in the Learning Experience Design & Development Community of Practice, focusing on the knowledge and skills of LEDs, ISDs and user-centered learning experience practices

  • Support action research, feasibility, and usability studies conducted as needed by learning partners across the enterprise

  • Lead user-centered design studies and sprints for iterative development

  • Serve as an expert in modern learning techniques with a focus on the user experience

  • Ability to work flexible working schedules to accommodate a global audience for subject matter buy-off, client report-outs, etc.

  • Leverage Storyline, Xyleme, Getty Images, Electronic Performance Support tools, Microsoft Office productivity tools, company learning management systems, Degreed, and more as needed

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Most work will be completed virtually, but limited onsite presence at Puget Sound or other locations may be required at times.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues

  • 5+ years of experience developing adult learning curriculums

  • 5+ years of experience developing training content deployed in a variety of virtual and in-person formats

  • Experience delivering training as an instructor

  • Experience in a role that required calculated risks in a dynamic & fast-paced environment

  • Experience in a role that required high attention to detail, self-starter, results driven

  • Experience in a role that required Design Thinking

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years’ related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience working in any of the following arenas: sales, marketing, business development, business analytics, continuous improvement

  • Understanding of Boeing structure and training environment, including applicable policies and procedures

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior (Level 4)

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Lead (Level 5)

Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Senior level: $96,900 - $131,100

Summary pay range for Lead level: $118,150 - $159,850
