As an Emergency team member, you will support the Emergency doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Our Emergency and Critical Care Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle critical case, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity, Swing / 2nd shift. We utilize a 4x 10 hour or 3 x 12 hour schedule. Not looking for full-time? No problem!
Compensation:
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
We offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe. Shift differential is $3.00 /hr.

- Performing triage assessments and prioritizing cases as they present
- Manage the ER by assigning clinicians to cases as they present and coordinate timely interventions as needed
- Abide by appropriate hospital SOPS for infection control when handling patients, providing interventions/treatments, and processing/performing diagnostic testing.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of their pets and home care
- Placing intravenous catheters, performing laboratory diagnostics
- Performing abdominal and thoracic radiographs
- Assisting with examinations
- Inducing, maintaining, and monitoring anesthesia for ER procedures
- Recovering patients from anesthesia
- Performing nursing care of all patients presenting to the ER
- Run diagnostics and correlate results with the clinical presentation of the patient and notify clinicians with results.
- Assisting the ER clinicians with providing instruction and demonstration of emergency medicine skills to veterinary students, interns, and residents in a clinical setting.
- Assist students with accomplishing the necessary student learning objectives
- Develop professional relationships with the CSR team to aid in providing outstanding customer service to all ER clients
- Enter charges for all triage patients and document treatment sheets
- Assist in providing clinical support to doctors and other technicians/nurses
- Provide restraint of patients without risk to patient, self, and others.
- Abide by appropriate hospital SOPS for infection control when handling patients, providing interventions/treatments, and processing/performing diagnostic testing.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients based on attention to detail
- Utilize monitoring equipment and recognize trends
- Assist with clinical procedures and offer direction to others.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Participates in CE for the purpose of personal development and development of a critical care mindset
- Foster effective communication with both internal and external clients and referring hospitals.
